The client wanted a logo for a potential iphone app that would be a game for users to seek out and find beers and enjoy them. The logo needed to provide a sense of adventure for the hunt and fun but also convey the excitement of finding good beers and not a keg party mentality.

He wanted to convey classy and at the same time make it fun.

CEDAR wanted to bring their branding and website up to same level as their technology and services. Pushing beyond the idea of using a cedar tree to something more technology oriented. With more powerful colors and clean strong fonts CEDAR’s new brand is a fresh new look for a great and growing company.

They wanted a website that would give them an arena for displaying all their services and technology. With the help of Marsden & Associates and their inhouse design team, they got exactly what they needed.

The client wanted a logo with a hint of the gardening theme, but that emphasizes the fact that there is more to it than that. It’s about sustainability and environmental stewardship. Eco-friendly living and a blending of traditional and fresh. The logo had to be bright and important, memorable, clean corporate looking with a green feel.

The client wished to express a clean, bold, professionalism in the site and target non-profit organizations. In my final concept I incorporated the bold gold on top of the dark blue to enable the strong contrast and let the logos symbol shine along side the CGA letters.

The logo design is based on the idea of lone sturdy tree holding firmly to a bold rock face.
